Regular Season Round 14: Ituano - Blumenau 63-78

Top ranked Ituano (9-3) recorded its third loss at the home court on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by fifth ranked Blumenau (5-7) 78-63. Blumenau looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international swingman Carina Martins (175-92) who had a double-double by scoring 10 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists. The former international swingman Leila Zabani (181-91) chipped in 21 points. Four Blumenau players scored in double figures. The former international center Erika De Souza (197-82) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds and the former international swingman Patricia Ribeiro (175-90) added 16 points respectively for the hosts. Despite that victory Blumenau went down to sixth position due to points difference. Ituano at the other side still keeps top place with three games lost. They share the position with Sesi/Arara.. Blumenau are looking forward to face higher ranked LSB RJ (#5) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Ituano will play against Sampaio (#4) in Sampaio Basquete and is hoping to win this game.
