Regular Season Round 16: Puente Alto - Los Leones 79-91

The most important game in the last round took place in Puente Alto between third ranked Puente Alto (9-10) and fifth ranked Los Leones (8-7) on Monday night. Puente Alto was defeated by Los Leones at home 79-91. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Puente Alto. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Panamanian guard Eugenio Luzcando (187-95, college: Idaho St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. The former international guard Barham Amor (185-96) contributed with 26 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five Los Leones players scored in double figures. Argentinian forward Nicholas Wadell (201-89) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and forward Ricardo Armijo (194-95) added 22 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Puente Alto. Los Leones moved-up to fourth place. Puente Alto at the other side keeps the third position with ten games lost. Los Leones are looking forward to face league's leader Universidad de Concepcion at home in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Puente Alto will have a break next round.
