Regular Season Round 17: Los Leones - Talca 68-59

The game between Top Four teams took place in Quilpue. Third ranked host Los Leones (10-7) defeated second-ranked Espanol de Talca (10-8) 68-59. It was a key game for the second position in the league. International forward Ignacio Carrion (201-93) nailed a double-double by scoring 17 points and 18 rebounds for the winning side and the former international guard Barham Amor (185-96) accounted for 14 points and 6 rebounds. Four Los Leones players scored in double figures. The former international forward Gianncarlo Caraboni (-90) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and forward Jaime Avendano (-99) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Espanol de Talca in the defeat. The victory was the third consecutive win for Los Leones. They moved-up to second place, which they share with CD Valdivia. Espanol de Talca at the other side dropped to the third position with eight games lost. Los Leones will play against league's leader Universidad de Concepcion at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Espanol de Talca will have a break next round.
