Regular Season Round 19: Temuco - Puerto Varas 71-93

An interesting game for CD Puerto Varas (13-7) which played road game in Temuco against 4th placed AB Temuco (8-12). Second ranked CD Puerto Varas had an easy win 93-71. CD Puerto Varas outrebounded AB Temuco 45-29 including a 19-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a great evening for American center Arnold Louis (201-90, college: SSU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds. Point guard Hector Gomez (188-87) helped adding 19 points and 7 rebounds. CD Puerto Varas' coach Leonardo Monsalvez felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side guard Jorge Manriquez (-94) responded with 17 points and 7 rebounds and guard Felipe Acuna (182-92) scored 20 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. CD Puerto Varas have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain second place with 13-7 record despite having the same number of points like the leader Las Animas. AB Temuco lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with 12 games lost.
