Everything went according to plan when leader Bauru (3-0) outplayed at home bottom-ranked Cearense (0-3) 88-47 on Monday. Bauru dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Cearense's 24. Bauru forced 26 Cearense turnovers and outrebounded them 39-23 including a 27-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Cearense's players. Josuel Santos (201-2) nailed 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and Danilo Penteado (200-99) accounted for 18 points. Four Bauru players scored in double figures. Joao Shmidt (-0) came up with 7 points and Davi Botelho (-2) added 7 points respectively for Cearense in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Bauru have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 3-0 record, which they share with Pinheiros and Rio Claro. Loser Cearense still closes the standings with three games lost. They share the position with Brasilia.
