Important game to mention about took place in Montevideo. Seventh ranked Sayago (2-2) saved a 2-point derby victory on the road edging 4th placed 25 de Agosto (2-1) 67-65 on Monday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of 25 de Agosto. It was a great evening for Lithuanian center Zygimantas Riauka (206-93, college: UW-Parkside) who led his team to a victory scoring 7 points and 17 rebounds. Center Joaquin Jones (199-97) helped adding 10 points and 10 rebounds. At the losing side Argentinian power forward Franco Pennacchiotti (205-90) responded with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 15 rebounds and point guard Brian Garcia (182-90) scored 16 points and 4 assists. Sayago moved-up to sixth place, which they share with L.Borges. 25 de Agosto at the other side keeps the fourth position with one game lost. They share it with Colon. Sayago will play against Danubio (#8) in Montevideo in the next round. 25 de Agosto's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena U.Atletica.
