Very important is a home loss of third ranked Colon (3-2) against sixth ranked L.Borges (3-2) on Friday night. Host Colon was defeated by L.Borges in a tough game in Colon 67-73. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Colon. It was a good game for American center Ricardo Glenn (203-90, college: USC Upstate) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Demian Alvarez (193-84) contributed with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American Lenny Daniel (203-87, college: CSUN) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and forward Emiliano Gonzalez (201-88) added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Colon. Four L.Borges and five Colon players scored in double figures. L.Borges moved-up to third place, which they share with Stockolmo and Colon. L.Borges will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Colon will play on the road against 25 de Agosto in Montevideo and hopes to get back on the winning track.
