Regular Season Round 1: Lenadores - Fuerza Regia 79-80

There was a small surprise in Durango where Fuerza Regia edged Lenadores 80-79 on Thursday. The former international point guard Paul Stoll (180-85) stepped up and scored 13 points and 6 assists for the winners and Nigerian-American power forward OD Anosike (203-91, college: Siena) chipped in 11 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side American forward Jerry Evans (203-90, college: Nevada) responded with 17 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import forward Germain Jordan (198-86, college: Dillard) scored 22 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Fuerza Regia will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Lenadores will play against Dorados in Chihuahua and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
