There was no surprise in Fresnillo where Halcones UV Xalapa was crushed by Plateros 88-69 on Thursday. Plateros looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Halcones UV Xalapa's players. The game was dominated by American players. Forward Reyshawn Terry (203-84, college: UNC) stepped up and scored 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and Dominique Morrison (198-89, college: ORU, agency: Haylett Sports) chipped in 16 points and 4 assists. Four Plateros players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Tyler Williams (196-96, college: San Diego, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and Tavarion Nix (201-92, college: Midwestern St.) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Plateros will meet Lenadores in the next round, which may be the game of the day.
