Regular Season Round 11: Leones MGA - Brumas 70-58

There was a change at the LSB leadership position after last games. Round 11 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Brumas (4-2). They were defeated by fifth ranked Leones MGA (4-2) 70-58 on Friday night. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Brumas. It was a key game for the second position in the league. They outrebounded Brumas 52-41 including 40 on the offensive glass. It was a great evening for Brazilian center Andre Coimbra (205-86, college: CMU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds. American forward Chris Blake (195-88, college: Detroit) helped adding 19 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Leones MGA's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American point guard Martell Miller (180, college: Calumet) responded with 11 points and 9 rebounds and the former international Dalton Cacho (200-93) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Leones MGA moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Brumas. Brumas will play next round against Rivas trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Leones MGA will try to continue on its current victory against ninth ranked Tigres in Chinandega.
