Rather predictable result when third ranked Minas (6-4) won against 5th ranked Flamengo (6-4) in Rio de Janeiro 77-72 on Friday. International forward Gui Santos (197-2) notched 34 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and forward Augusto Alcassa (201-0) supported him with 10 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks. Even 20 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 8 steals by point guard Matheusinho Brito (184-0) did not help to save the game for Flamengo. Power forward Rafael Rachel (205-0) added 13 points and 12 rebounds. Four Flamengo players scored in double figures. Flamengo's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Minas have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 6-4 record having four points less than leader Pinheiros, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Flamengo.
