Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Montevideo: Danubio (#9) and Cordon (#5). Danubio (4-5) crushed visiting Cordon (4-5) by 16 points 89-73. It was a great evening for Argentinian forward Martin Chervo (200-92) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 15 rebounds. Argentinian swingman Sebastian Alvarez (185-89) helped adding 14 points and 5 assists. Danubio's coach used an eleven-player rotation saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was Italian-Argentinian center Damian Tintorelli (205-81) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and the former international Mauricio Aguiar (199-83) scored 16 points and 5 assists. Five Cordon players scored in double figures. Danubio moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Cordon and Tabare. Cordon lost fourth consecutive game. Danubio will meet higher ranked Colon (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Cordon's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo Miramar.
