It was an exceptional evening for American-Argentinian guard Erik Thomas (195-95, college: New Orleans) who led the winners and scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. American Joe Lawson (201-92, college: Indianapolis, agency: Inception Sports) accounted for 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Lawson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Soles' coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. American power forward Ishmael Lane (203-97, college: NSU) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds and point guard James Alvarez (181-94) added 11 points and 4 assists respectively for Halcones UV Xalapa in the defeat. Soles will meet at home Astros in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Halcones UV Xalapa will play against Fuerza Regia (#1) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
