Bottom-ranked Liga Sorocaba is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their tenth consecutive match to seventh ranked Corinthians (5-5) 82-67 on Saturday evening. Corinthians made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. American guard Malcolm Miller (201-91, college: Southern) nailed 30 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!) for the winning side and swingman Pedro Nunes (197-0) accounted for 15 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Corinthians players scored in double figures. Guilherme Almeida (-0) came up with 21 points and guard Rafael Castellon (191-85) added 6 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Liga Sorocaba in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Corinthians. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Paulistano. Liga Sorocaba lost their tenth game in a row. They still close the standings with ten games lost. Corinthians will meet Osasco (#9) on the road in the next round. Liga Sorocaba will have a break next round.
