Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Sao Paulo: Vivo/Franca (#2) and Pinheiros (#3). Pinheiros was smashed at home by 31 points 76-107 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Pinheiros. Vivo/Franca made 17-of-19 charity shots (89.5 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Pinheiros' players. The former international point guard Georginho de Paula (197-96) notched a triple-double by scoring 14 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists to lead the effort and the former international power forward Lucas Mariano (208-93) supported him with 25 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Vivo/Franca players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 13 points and 12 rebounds by naturalized Portuguese forward Rafael Munford (195-98, college: Augusta) did not help to save the game for Pinheiros. International center Dikembe Andre (206-99) added 14 points for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Vivo/Franca (9-2) keeps a position of league leader. Pinheiros at the other side keeps the third place with four games lost. They share the position with Bauru. Vivo/Franca's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Sao Paulo to the arena .
