Regular Season Round 14: Osasco - Corinthians 64-90

Rather predictable result when seventh ranked Corinthians (6-5) smashed on the road 9th ranked Osasco (2-9) 90-64. They outrebounded Osasco 35-24 including 26 on the defensive glass. Corinthians players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. American guard Malcolm Miller (201-91, college: Southern) notched 22 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and power forward Renato Carbonari (202-87) supported him with 15 points and 7 rebounds. Corinthians' coach Leo Alves felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 14 points and 7 rebounds by forward Renato Scholz (197-88) did not help to save the game for Osasco. Guard Alexei Patricio (192-97) added 14 points and 5 rebounds for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Corinthians have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place. Osasco lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with nine games lost. Corinthians will play against higher ranked Mogi (#5) in Mogi das Cruzes in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Osasco will play on the road against Liga Sorocaba (#10) in Sorocabana and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
