Regular Season Round 7: Fuerza Regia - Dorados 91-99

There was a minor upset in Monterrey where leader Fuerza Regia (5-4) was defeated by third ranked Dorados (4-4) 99-91 on Friday. Dorados made 25-of-32 free shots (78.1 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for naturalized American Durrell Summers (196-89, college: Michigan St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points and 6 rebounds. American-Dominican Antonio Pena (204-86, college: Villanova) helped adding 18 points and 5 rebounds. Five Dorados players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Rodney Green (197-88, college: La Salle) responded with 22 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import guard Daniel Bejarano (193-91, college: Colorado St.) scored 9 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Dorados maintains third place with 4-4 record behind leader Abejas. Defending champion Fuerza Regia still keeps top position with four games lost. Dorados will meet league's leader Abejas in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Fuerza Regia will play against Lenadores and hope to secure a win.
