Regular Season Round 7: Plateros - Libertadores 87-106

Another exciting game was played in Fresnillo between third ranked Libertadores and their biggest opponent Plateros where Libertadores (6-4) crushed Plateros (5-5) on the road with 19-point difference 106-87. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Libertadores shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American Vander Blue (196-92, college: Marquette, agency: Shark Sports Management) who helped to win the game recording 29 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). His fellow American import swingman Trahson Burrell (201-92, college: Memphis) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Five Libertadores players scored in double figures. American forward Reyshawn Terry (203-84, college: UNC) answered with 16 points and the former international point guard Orlando Mendez-Valdez (183-86, college: WKU) added 10 points and 7 assists in the effort for Plateros. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Libertadores have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Abejas and Astros. Plateros at the other side keep the second place with five games lost. They share the position with Soles. Libertadores will play against Soles (#4) in Mexicali in the next round. Plateros will play on the road against Halcones UV Xalapa and hope to get back on the winning track.
