The game in Matagalpa was also quite interesting. Sixth ranked Leones MGA (6-5) played at the court of 8th ranked Indigenas (2-10). Leones MGA defeated Indigenas 80-69 on Friday. Leones MGA forced 21 Indigenas turnovers. Strangely Indigenas outrebounded Leones MGA 52-40 including a 21-10 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American forward Chris Blake (195-88, college: Detroit) fired a double-double by scoring 23 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Brazilian center Andre Coimbra (205-86, college: CMU) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Four Leones MGA players scored in double figures. Puerto Rican point guard Christian Lopez (183-95) produced 40 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds (made all of his fourteen free throws !!!) and Dominican center Teodoro Romero added 8 points and 21 rebounds respectively for lost side. Leones MGA maintains sixth place with 6-5 record. Indigenas lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with ten games lost.
