Regular Season Round 7: Halc.Xalapa - Lenadores 87-90

The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Lenadores' (4-5) road victory over 5th ranked Halcones UV Xalapa (2-6) 90-87 on Saturday. Lenadores shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 56.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for power forward Carlos Haro (198-93) who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points (perfect behind the arc making all six shots !!!). American forward Jerry Evans (203-90, college: Nevada) helped adding 11 points and 8 rebounds. Lenadores' coach Sebastian Sucarrat used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side American-Filipino guard Mikh McKinney (184-92, college: Sacramento St.) responded with 28 points, 8 assists and 4 steals (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and American power forward Ishmael Lane (203-97, college: NSU) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds. Five Halcones UV Xalapa players scored in double figures. Lenadores maintains fourth place with 4-5 record. Loser Halcones UV Xalapa keeps the fifth position with six games lost. Lenadores will meet league's leader Fuerza Regia in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Halcones UV Xalapa will play against the league's second-placed Plateros (#2) and hope to secure a win.
