Regular Season Round 3: Olimpico - Comunicaciones 80-70

First defeat of league's leader Comunicaciones (0-1) against Olimpico (2-0) 80-70 was the most important game of the last round. It was a good game for swingman Federico Grun (191-96) who led his team to a victory with 23 points and 6 rebounds. American center Michael Buchanan (212-94, college: USC Upstate) contributed with 18 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Olimpico players scored in double figures. American power forward Brandon Peterson (203-90, college: Arkansas St.) answered with 17 points and point guard Alejandro Konsztadt (191-89) added 9 points and 6 assists in the effort for Comunicaciones. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Comunicaciones will play next round against strong Quimsa trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Olimpico will try to continue on its current victory against Obera on the road.
