But Union SF was not able to use a home court advantage and was outleveled by the opponent from Comodoro Rivadavia 89-65 on Monday night. Gimnasia forced 19 Union SF turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 58.3 percentage. It was an exceptional evening for Agustin Barreiro (205-99) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. The former international Sebastian Vega (200-88) accounted for 19 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Gimnasia players scored in double figures. International power forward Gonzalo Torres (201-94) came up with 17 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Andres Jaime (184-0) added 12 points and 5 assists respectively for Union SF in the defeat. Union SF's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Gimnasia will meet Boca in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Union SF will play against San Lorenzo and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
