The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Halcones as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Halcones smashed bottom-ranked Centenarios at home 79-41. Halcones dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Centenarios' 24. They outrebounded Centenarios 50-23 including a 20-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard David Monterroso (180-79) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 7 rebounds. The former international swingman Miguel Gonzalez (187-90) contributed with 10 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Four Halcones players scored in double figures. Guard Mynor Aquino (175-89) answered with 3 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Diego Villagran (-93) added 6 points and 4 assists in the effort for Centenarios. Centenarios' coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Halcones have a solid series of three victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Centenarios at the other side still closes the standings with two games lost. Centenarios will play next round against strong Amatitlan trying to get back on the winning streak. Halcones will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Forza at home.
