Important game to mention about took place in Guadalajara. Fifth ranked Panteras (5-7) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging top-ranked Astros (7-5) 82-80 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Astros. Panteras dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Astros' 26. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of international center Joshua Ibarra (211-95, college: HBU) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 9 rebounds and Panamanian Ernesto Oglivie (203-89) who added 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Five Panteras players scored in double figures. Nigerian-American power forward Ikechukwu Diogu (204-83, college: Arizona St.) responded with 26 points and 8 rebounds and American forward Jordan Loveridge (198-93, college: Utah) scored 17 points. Panteras moved-up to third place, which they share with Plateros. Astros at the other side still keep top position with five games lost. They share it with Abejas and Soles. Panteras will play against league's leader Abejas in Guanajuato in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Astros will play on the road against Libertadores in Queretaro and hope to get back on the winning track.
