Regular Season Round 11: Correcaminos - Toros 68-47

LPB top team - Correcaminos (8-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked Toros (0-10) in Colon 68-47. Correcaminos dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Toros' 28. It was a great evening for center Jaime Lloreda (204-80, college: LSU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists. Cuban guard Adriano Barreras (186-89) helped adding 19 points and 5 assists. Four Correcaminos players scored in double figures. Colombian center John Hernandez (207-84) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and Oscar Zephyrine (190-0) scored 9 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Correcaminos maintains first place with 8-2 record. Toros at the other side still closes the standings with ten games lost. Correcaminos will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Toros will play on the road against Dragones (#5) in Panama City and hope to get finally their first victory.
