They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Ashton Millender (173, college: DePaul) who led the winners and scored 20 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Her fellow American import swingman DAsia Chambers (182-92, college: Slippery Rock) accounted for 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Janis Martinez came up with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds and center Guisselle Rodriguez added 9 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Leonas in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Real Esteli. They maintain second place with 11-4 record behind leader No Fear. Leonas lost their tenth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 13 games lost. Real Esteli will meet at home UAM (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Leonas will play against Tipitapa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
