Everything could happen in Queretaro at the game between two tied teams. Both fourth ranked Astros and 3rd placed Libertadores had identical 7-6 record. But Libertadores were not able to use a home court advantage and were defeated by the opponent from Guadalajara 102-89 on Saturday night. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Astros outrebounded Libertadores 38-27 including a 32-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was forward Jordan Loveridge (198-93, college: Utah) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Avry Holmes (185-94, college: Clemson) chipped in 18 points and 7 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Trahson Burrell (201-92, college: Memphis) who recorded 23 points and 5 rebounds and Vander Blue (196-92, college: Marquette, agency: Shark Sports Management) added 19 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Astros (8-6) moved-up to second place, which they share with Abejas. Loser Libertadores dropped to the fourth position with seven games lost. Astros will meet at home league's leader Soles in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Libertadores will play against the league's second-placed Abejas in Guanajuato and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
