Regular Season Round 7: Quimsa - Olimpico 80-73
Date: October 12, 2021
There was no surprise in Santiado del Estero where 4th placed Olimpico (2-3) was defeated by second ranked Quimsa (4-2) 80-73 on Tuesday. Quimsa made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. The former international point guard Juan Brussino (185-91) fired 20 points and 5 assists for the winners. American power forward Eric Anderson (204-93, college: New Haven, agency: Duran International) chipped in 13 points and 9 rebounds. Five Quimsa players scored in double figures. American guard Elyjah Clark (190-98, college: MSSU) produced 15 points and 5 assists and the former international swingman Juan De La Fuente (195-0) added 16 points respectively for lost side. Olimpico's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Quimsa maintains second place with 4-2 record having just one point less than leader San Martin, which they share with La Union. Olimpico lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. Quimsa will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Olimpico will play against Riachuelo LR (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
