We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams in La Banda where fifth ranked Olimpico (3-3) beat one of their biggest challengers Riachuelo LR (3-3) 77-71 on Wednesday. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Guillermo Aliende (178-97) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 4 assists and guard Luciano Caceres (180-1) who added 12 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The former international forward Pablo Espinoza (201-87) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and the former international center Martin Leiva (211-80) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Four Riachuelo LR players scored in double figures. Olimpico moved-up to second place, which they share with Obras and Riachuelo LR. Olimpico will meet league's leader Instituto in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Riachuelo LR will play against the league's second-placed Quimsa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
