This time Union SF used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Junin 87-81 on Wednesday night. Union SF outrebounded Argentino 43-32 including 33 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of international power forward Gonzalo Torres (201-94) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 8 rebounds and naturalized Spanish swingman Maximiliano Martin (190-90) who added 15 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Union SF's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Center Ezequiel Filipetti (200-1) responded with 14 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Juan Rodriguez (178-91) scored 15 points and 4 assists. Four Argentino players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Union SF maintains third position with 2-4 record having just two points less than leader San Martin, which they share with Regatas and San Lorenzo. Argentino lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with five games lost. They share the position with Obera and Comunicaciones. Union SF will meet H.Americano (#5) in the next round. Argentino will play against the league's second-placed Obras in Buenos Aires and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
