Not a big story in a game in Valparaiso where 8th ranked Arabe de Valp. (1-6) was defeated by top-ranked Manquehue (6-0) 87-69 on Saturday. Manquehue looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The former international Fernando Schuler (190-91) fired 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. The former international forward Jorge Schuler (199-87) chipped in 21 points. Four Manquehue players scored in double figures. The former international center Patricio Briones (212-72, college: Miami Dade CC) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and Ricardo Jadue (-98) added 8 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Manquehue have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 6-0 record behind leader Sportiva Italiana. Arabe de Valp. lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with six games lost. They share the position with Arturo Prat and Brisas. Manquehue will meet league's leader Sportiva Italiana in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
