Important game to mention about took place in Xalapa. Fifth ranked Halcones UV Xalapa (6-10) saved a 3-point victory at home edging second-ranked Dorados (8-8) 82-79 on Saturday evening. Halcones UV Xalapa players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Dorados were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American-Filipino guard Mikh McKinney (184-92, college: Sacramento St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 5 rebounds. American forward Eric Ferguson (203-89, college: Georgia South) helped adding 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Halcones UV Xalapa players scored in double figures. American-Dominican Antonio Pena (204-86, college: Villanova) responded with 14 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and naturalized American Durrell Summers (196-89, college: Michigan St.) scored 18 points. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Halcones UV Xalapa moved-up to fourth place. Dorados at the other side keep the second position with eight games lost. Halcones UV Xalapa will play against Lenadores (#5) in Durango in the next round. Dorados will play at home against the league's leader Fuerza Regia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
