Not a big story in a game when 5th ranked Panteras (7-11) lost to third ranked Libertadores (11-7) in Queretaro 87-96 on Sunday. Libertadores made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Libertadores especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. It was an exceptional evening for American swingman Trahson Burrell (201-92, college: Memphis) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 14 rebounds. His fellow American import Vander Blue (196-92, college: Marquette, agency: Shark Sports Management) accounted for 23 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Libertadores players scored in double figures. Panamanian Ernesto Oglivie (203-89) came up with 21 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Gary Ricks (185-91, college: Drake) added 20 points respectively for Panteras in the defeat. Panteras' coach Sebastian Ginobili let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Libertadores have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Astros. Panteras lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with 11 games lost. Libertadores will meet at home Plateros (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Panteras will play against the league's leader Soles and hope to secure a win.
