Regular Season Round 27: Indigenas - Tigres 83-76

Bottom-ranked Indigenas managed to get a third victory, breaking the series of eight consecutive losses. This time they won against eighth-ranked Tigres in Matagalpa 83-76. It was a great evening for American center James Edmond Jr (203-91, college: Lincoln, MO) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists. Swingman Marco Maradiaga helped adding 23 points. Indigenas' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was Jose Ortiz with 32 points and 4 assists and Luder Hernandez scored 14 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Indigenas (3-15) moved-up to eighth place. Tigres at the other side dropped to the bottom position with 17 games lost. Indigenas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tigres will play against the league's second-placed Cacique D. (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
