Regular Season Round 3: Felix Perez - Olimpia 60-45

The biggest surprise of round 3 in Metropolitan League took place in Asuncion where host Felix Perez (5-1) beat Olimpia (5-1) 60-45 on Friday evening. The best player for the winners was Joaquina Marin who scored 9 points and 9 rebounds. Jazma Mercado chipped in 9 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Jael Benitez (163-3) who recorded 9 points and 8 rebounds and Carolina Caraves added 14 points and 4 steals respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Olimpia will play next round against strong Everest trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Felix Perez will try to continue on its current victory against Ciudad Nueva at home.
