Regular Season Round 3: Racing - Lanus 77-72

The most important game of round 3 took place in Chivilcoy where Racing beat Lanus (2-1) 77-72 on Friday night. Racing made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Lanus' players. It was a great evening for Joaquin Gamazo (198-91) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 19 rebounds. Point guard Alejo Barrales (174-91) helped adding 10 points and 12 assists. The best for the losing side was naturalized Italian Juan Kelly (189-88) with 9 points and 4 assists and forward Martin Franchino (201-93) scored 7 points and 6 rebounds. Lanus' coach Leonardo Costa rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Lanus will play next round against strong Zarate Basket trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Racing will try to continue on its current victory against Pergamino on the road.
