Regular Season Round 16: Caballos - Toros 76-67

Bottom-ranked Toros (0-14) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 76-67 loss to sixth ranked Caballos (3-11) in Aguadulce. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized American Adalberto Rojas (200-86) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Bryan Waithe (188-94, college: Lindenwood) contributed with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Oscar Zephyrine (190-0) replied with 25 points and 4 assists and forward Gilberto de Gracia (194-0) added 13 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 7 steals in the effort for Toros. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Toros' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Defending champion maintains sixth position with 3-11 record. Toros at the other side still closes the standings with 14 games lost. Caballos will play against higher ranked Panteras (#4) in Panama City in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Toros will play at home against Dragones and hope to get finally their first victory.
