No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Rivas (12-10) defeated at home 6th ranked Leon (10-10) 87-72 on Sunday. Rivas forced 21 Leon turnovers. The best player for the winners was American center BJ Glasford (196-95, college: Stetson, agency: Green Sports Management) who scored 29 points and 4 assists. His fellow American import Quentin Davis (199, college: Mendocino CC) chipped in a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds. Four Rivas players scored in double figures. Cuban Oreste Torres (204-87) produced 31 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Cuban Yuniskel Molina (183-93) added 17 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for the guests.
