The game between closely ranked teams ended with 9th ranked Corsarios' (1-3) home loss to eighth ranked Tigrillos (2-1) 72-76 on Saturday. Tigrillos outrebounded Corsarios 43-25 including a 30-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. American guard Gabe McCray (201-94, college: SC State, agency: Interperformances) fired a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. The other American import forward Jacob Calloway (202-96, college: SUU) chipped in 19 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Tigrillos' coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Samir Viscaino produced 24 points and American forward William Green (201-91, college: Stetson) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Corsarios players scored in double figures. Tigrillos moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Cimarrones. Corsarios lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the ninth position with three games lost. They share it with Condores. Tigrillos will meet at home Bucaros (#11) in the next round where they are favorite. Corsarios will play against the league's second-placed Titanes in Barranquilla and hope to win that game.
