Everything could happen in Cucuta at the game between two tied teams. Both seventh ranked Motilones and 8th ranked Sabios had identical 2-2 record. This time Motilones used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Manizales 83-68 on Sunday night. Motilones dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Sabios' 36. Motilones forced 19 Sabios turnovers. Yeison Yan stepped up and scored 20 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winners and American forward Miles Bowman Jr (201-93, college: High Point, agency: BIG) chipped in 11 points and 15 rebounds. Lysander Ameen responded with 26 points and 8 rebounds and Dionte Montrez scored 6 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Motilones. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Cafeteros. Loser Sabios keep the eighth position with three games lost. Motilones will meet Condores (#10) in the next round. Sabios will play against Tigrillos and hope to secure a win.
