Rather predictable result in Brasilia where Cerrado (2-0) defeated Pinheiros (1-2) 88-79 on Tuesday. Cerrado made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American point guard Kenny Dawkins (172-87, college: Lamar) who scored 15 points and 9 assists. Rafael Moreira (200-91) chipped in 18 points. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international Jefferson Andrade (207-83) who recorded 17 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Gabriel Campos (179-1) added 10 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists respectively. Five Cerrado and four Pinheiros players scored in double figures. Pinheiros' coach David Pelosini rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Cerrado will meet at home Paschoalotto/Bauru (#7) in the next round. Pinheiros will play against Brasilia and hope to win that game.
