Regular Season Round 1: Quimsa - Union 69-83

There was a minor upset in Santiago del Estero where Quimsa was defeated by Union 83-69 on Tuesday. Union forced 20 Quimsa turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. Union looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Quimsa's players. Matias Reynoso stepped up and scored 20 points for the winners and Nicolas Reynoso (191-99) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side Facundo Folmer responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and Lucas Chiapella scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Quimsa's coach let to play eleven players and allowed the starting five to rest. Union will meet at home Olimpico in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Quimsa will play against Obera and hope to win that game.
