Regular Season Round 3: Minas - Mogi 109-75

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Mogi (2-1) in Belo Horizonte on Wednesday night. Visitors were rolled over by Minas (3-0) 109-75. They made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. Minas looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. It was a great evening for international point guard Alexey Borges (185-95) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists. International Gui Santos (202-2) helped adding 21 points and 5 assists. Minas' coach Leonardo Costa felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was point guard Guilherme Lessa (178-95) with 12 points and 8 assists and Douglas Dos Santos (201-98) scored 10 points and 9 rebounds. Five Minas and four Mogi players scored in double figures. Minas is looking forward to face Pato (#16) in Pato Branco in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Mogi will play on the road against Flamengo (#1) in Rio de Janeiro and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
