Regular Season Round 4: Quimsa - Ferro 36-67
Date: November 3, 2021
The biggest surprise of round 4 in LaLiga Femenina was guest Ferro's (2-2) easy road victory over Quimsa (#7) 67-36 on Wednesday evening. Ferro held Quimsa to an opponent 20.3 percent shooting from the field compared to 44.6 percent accuracy of the winners. Ferro had a 46-29 advantage in offensive rebounds. The former international swingman Guillermina Coz (178-89) fired 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Forward Georgina Buzzetti (187-3) chipped in 8 points and 8 rebounds. Center Julieta Ibarra (-98) produced 9 points and 6 rebounds and center Andrea Ledesma (182-96) added 4 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ferro moved-up to fourth place. Quimsa at the other side keeps the seventh position with three games lost. Ferro will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Quimsa will play at home against Rocamora (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
