Regular Season Round 8: Carrib.Storm - Motilones 51-65

The most important game in the last round took place in San Andres Island between second ranked Storm (6-2) and sixth ranked Motilones (6-2) on Sunday night. Storm was defeated by Motilones at home 65-51. Motilones forced 22 Storm turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Motilones made 8 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of Dominican center Luis Santos (203-94, college: St.Louis) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 8 rebounds and 7 blocks (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and Dominican Yeison Colome (190-96) who added 23 points and 4 steals during the contest. Motilones' coach Hernan Laginestra used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Argentinian swingman Federico Mariani (190-92) responded with 15 points and Spanish center Antoni Vicens (204-90, agency: Duran International) scored 12 points. Motilones have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Cafeteros and Carrib.Storm.
