The game between closely ranked teams ended with first ranked Racing's (7-2) road victory over second-ranked Rocamora (3-5) 98-73 on Wednesday. Racing shot 62.9 percent from the field. Racing outrebounded Rocamora 35-24 including a 28-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. Racing looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Rocamora's players. It was an exceptional evening for Ricardo Fernandez (190-96) who led the winners and scored 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Joaquin Gamazo (198-91) accounted for 13 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side. Four Racing players scored in double figures. Racing's coach Diego Dambrosio felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Tomas Verbauwede (198-99) came up with 29 points and 8 rebounds and Galo Impini (194-97) added 11 points respectively for Rocamora in the defeat. Racing have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 7-2 record. Rocamora lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the second position with five games lost. Racing will meet league's leader Estudiantes C. in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Rocamora will play against Zarate Basket and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
