Regular Season Round 2: Diablos - Spartans 57-72

Another interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Caracas: Spartans and Diablos. Diablos were defeated at home 57-72 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. International swingman Pedro Chourio (186-90) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Nelson Palacios (192-92) chipped in 15 points during the contest. Point guard Argenis Indriago (178-0) responded with 12 points and guard Edry Gonzalez (185-98) scored 9 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
