Everything went according to plan when Atenas (1-2) defeated Ferro (0-4) in Cordoba 90-84 on Thursday. Atenas forced 21 Ferro turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for Ignacio Segura (195-0) who led the winners and scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Alejo Andres (191-0) accounted for 12 points and 5 assists for the winning side. Atenas' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Santiago Mazza (182-1) came up with 21 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and Andres Fernandez added 20 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Ferro in the defeat. Five Atenas and four Ferro players scored in double figures. Atenas will again meet Ferro (#20) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ferro will play against Union in Santa Fe and hopes to get finally their first victory.
