Regular Season Round 12: Estudiantes C. - Racing 63-61

There was a change at the La Liga Argentina leadership position after last games. The most important game of round 12 was a defeat of league's leader Racing (7-3). They were edged by first ranked Estudiantes C. (6-5) 63-61 on Friday night. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Racing. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Agustin Mas Delfino (194-97) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and Martin Bonja who added 9 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Erbel De Pietro (185-88) with 29 points and 5 rebounds and Joaquin Gamazo (198-91) scored 6 points and 14 rebounds. Estudiantes C. maintains first position with 6-5 record, which they share with Ameghino and Estudiantes T. Racing at the other side dropped to the second place with three games lost. They share the position with Independiente. They were replaced at the leadership position by Independ.O.. Racing will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest and make it back to the top of the standings. Estudiantes C. will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Pergamino on the road.
