Important game to mention about took place in San Andres Island. Tenth ranked Bucaros (3-8) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging second-ranked Storm (8-3) 74-72 on Friday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Storm. American power forward Marquis Salmon (203-94, college: Texas Southern) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds. His fellow American import power forward DeMarco Owens (203-96, college: Montevallo) contributed with 17 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Owens is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Italian-Argentinian guard Juan Pablo Cantero (188-82) answered with 16 points and 9 assists and Argentinian forward Mariano Fierro (200-86) added 15 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Storm. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Bucaros moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Condores. Storm at the other side dropped to the third position with three games lost. They share it with Motilones.
